He has several resources that discuss how black pepper and turmeric work together to increase the availability of curcumin (the anti-inflammatory yellow pigment in turmeric) in the bloodstream, which is why we include black pepper in many of our recipes. It is often a very small amount as it doesn’t take much for the desired effect.
