In fact, it was so amazing that I’ve decided that I’m going to make their meals a cornerstone of my healthy, new, plant-based diet lifestyle.

I drive over the road and so I don’t have the ability to really cook and certainly there are not a lot of healthy options for places to stop out on the road. I love these meals! I have a busy schedule and these meals not only give me the nutrition I need as a plant based athlete, but also free up a lot of time in meal prep. I am an ultra distance cyclist and I have a huge race in June 2020 called the Race Across the West. It is a 930 mile race with a 3-1/2 day time limit. It starts in Oceanside CA, through Arizona, Utah and finishing in Durango, CO. It is one of the toughest ultra races in the world.

I am using the race as a fundraiser for Feeding America and to use it to bring awareness of proper nutrition through whole food plant based diet. I am a two-time cancer survivor and was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis about 7 years ago. At the time of my RA diagnosis, I ate a lot of fast food, and processed food.

It was taking a lot of medications to control inflammation and other chronic medical conditions. I transitioned to a whole food plant based diet 6 years ago and my whole life has changed! I am completely off all medications and now doing ultra distance cycling races of 400 plus miles.

One of the things I love so much about LeafSide meals is that I can take them with me on the road and use them to fuel me before, during and after the races when I am not at home. I am insured that I will have good 100 percent plant-based meals when I travel. I love your meals!!!

My hubby and I have been plant based for almost 10 years. We’re both in our mid 50’s. When we started, there weren’t a lot of vegan “fast food” options or “junk food”. Gradually, almost without thinking, we’ve replaced a lot of our food with very crummy food - vegan, yes. Whole food? Nope. So we’ve gained some weight, and, more importantly, our cholesterol has gone up and our blood has changed for the worse. Then, miraculously, our doctor recommends LeafSide. Btw: we live and travel full time on a boat so getting wfpb has been an issue anyway!

Love love love LeafSide! 💖 I was tickled to open my first box and see that the meals were indeed real food. I ordered the meals I thought I would like and so far I am loving them.

I eat WFPB, but struggle because my family still wants omni meals. I was cooking so much that I was getting burned out and started eating vegan junk food. I could tell I was putting on weight.

Now, I am so thankful for these meals and the way they give me my Daily Dozen on days when I don't want to cook. Since going WFPB, my fibromyalgia and trigeminal neuralgia have gone into remission, I have zero chronic pain so the lifestyle is very important to maintain! ✅ The LeafSide products help by giving me variety and convenience. I can eat the meal itself or add to it and stretch the meal. I stretch the Broccoli Cashew Alfredo Savory-Bowl with more vegetables and whole grain pasta because I love it so much that I want to eat it for lunch and dinner! If you are debating whether to order or not, I would say go for it!

We tried these two foods today from LeafSide and they were remarkably good. 😋

I was surprised, I didn’t expect them to be as well seasoned (read bold and good flavor). I always add a little chef magic to my food and these required none and I added very little (for those who know it was adding spicy/heat to the Sweet Potato Dal Soup).

These are #wholefoodplantbased dehydrated foods, high in protein and fiber also highlighted by Dr. Greger. As far as pre-made meals go they are quite inexpensive, and lightweight, making them great for travel and hiking (if a source of hot water is available).

Honestly I was floored. I’ve been living on Fire Road since I’m in PhD life right now and wanted to change it up. Also I’ve been avoiding Amy’s bc of the labor ugliness. This is such a happy find!
